“In the next ten years, one of the things you’re bound to hear is that animal protein is one of the most toxic nutrients of all that can be considered. Quite simply, the more you substitute plant foods for animal foods, the healthier you are likely to be.”

"Dairy consumption is linked to ADD/ADHD, osteoporosis and many other conditions.", "Dairy is addictive because enzymes that produce opiates are present inside cows' livers. Lactose tolerance is a recent genetic trait." - Dairy Alternatives Group

Kimberley: I can only speak from experience. I have been vegan for nearly 20 years and my partner vegan for several years longer. Neither of us takes vitamin supplements. Some of the processed food we eat will have been fortified, but the majority of our diet is cooked from scratch from basic ingredients. We are both alive and healthy! It is of course possible to be a vegan and eat a poorly balanced diet, which will affect your health, but if you have a sensible diet, there is no need to worry! BTW, I would say that raw cow's milk (meant for infant cattle) would be a very poor choice even if I wasn't vegan!

What would your response be to a meat eater and raw milk drinker who said this?

"Vitamins A, D, E and K are all fat-soluble only available in animal sources. Plants only contain proto-vitamin A, and must first be converted to vitamin A by the body to be available for use. Even healthy adults can't do this efficiently, and the young and old may not be able to do this at all"

This can't be at all true otherwise we'd be dropping dead left and right. I've done some research but would like advice, thanks.

Nia is looking for people's opinions on cleansing and detoxification (Is it all a con, or are there genuine benefits to be had?) if you have any thoughts do please comment on the Cleansing page. Cheers
