Welcome

This group has grown so wonderfully big in the past year. It's a group to help feel understood, and to ask questions, along with telling your stories. Don't ever feel uneasy to answer, put your ideas in, no harm done. Being veg*n is a great thing for yourself, and the world, no doubt.

totally not a problem buzz, it's very easy to misunderstand something when it's written rather than spoken. Hope you are having a nice week despite this yucky weather we're having at the moment :)

I wasn't judging by the way. It was more of a question in my mind but I just hadn't expressed that. I was probably in the middle of doing something else and rushed the comment.

I should have asked why you needed followers.

"it's just a shame when people are quick to make a judgement instead of asking what I mean't"

You are right Elizabeth, I should have asked what you meant by that. I have read your explanation and will take a look at your blog.

Yes, the lack of body language/tone of voice really doesn't help, plus using keyboards/keypads/touch screens generally leads to a less eloquent response.

I think this is one of the problems with these electronic forms of communication, quite a lot of misunderstandings seem to arise this way, when you can't talk to someone face to face. I am sure that is why there are so many arguments and feuds on Facebook, etc! That is why I don't like trying to conduct friendships this way.

my comment was mainly aimed at "buzz" as I really didn't mean to offend anyone. I agree about the misunderstanding, it's just a shame when people are quick to make a judgement instead of asking what I mean't etc. It's totally ok, I just really didn't want to get off on a bad start with fellow veggies on here. I appreciated your attempt to diffuse the situation :)

I'm sure no-one was offended Elizabeth, probably just a misunderstanding of your use of 'followers' in this context. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your project.

And yes, I was quite aware of your meaning, my comment was merely a light-hearted attempt (hence the smiley at the end, and the use of single inverted commas) at diffusing the situation.

the term "followers" literally means you've "liked" my blog exactly like adding a friend on facebook, google blogs use that term it's not my term. I am not a leader and do not want to be, just was hoping to find some support from fellow vegans and veggies.

I'm sorry if you didn't understand the concept of me needing "followers" I'm working on a vegan recipe book and i have my own non-profit blog site which I would like fellow vegans to just take a look at, there's nothing in it for me apart from having a little support from like minded people. Obviously This offended you and I didn't mean for that in anyway possible. Just on here to make some new friends and offer my recipes to share around but you obviously took that the wrong way. Hope you're all having a good day.
