'Weird' IS normal. If you think about it, everyone is SUPPOSED to be different.. Therefor, we are all different and all weird in our own sense. :} It's so great isn't it! I love being an individual.

(I say 'supposed to' in an exaggerated way because we have a lot of sheeple out there, followers and people who have 'idols'. Also, people who allow themselves to be brainwashed in multiple ways)

Thank you both, Ignatz and little lily :) Acceptance is a nice thing to find! I really hope so, but yes it will take some time. That is awesome that you make your own clothes, I have just started to learn and I learn at a snail pace, so good on you :) Would love to see some of them! Ignatz is right, Becca.  The things that my peers poked fun at when I was young, are the very things people are looking up to now.  "I wish I had learned to sew my own clothes.  Your style is so unique."  Meanwhile, I got married at 38 to my best friend and they are working on their 2nd divorce. Love yourself, and others will follow.  It just might take some time.

Ignatz, I was told that long before I became veggie, then vegan, by my best friend when I was at school and felt like the biggest freak ever. Back then I loved it though; I labelled myself a freak, dressed like a goth, was the first one in my year to dye my hair black and wear weird clothes and just go with it (well, that is how it felt). Since leaving school about five years ago, I've lost all that confidence and haven't grown into my skin, but out of it. Feels kinda homely here with the 'weird and wonderful' :)
