What do you think of those stupid Internet memes? "I Can Has Cheezeburger?" Ugh!! I can't stand them! To me, those things are just annoying. I know they are suppose to be jokes but they just come…Continue

Both of my parents were English majors in college. My greatest pet peeve is when people say that they are going to "Axe" someone something, when they mean "ask". Arrrrgh! Makes me crazy.

It's always seems crazy to me that businesses, (and especially) schools and individuals continue to line Micro$oft's pockets when there are so many free, and often better, alternatives to their bloatware. I guess it goes back to the old saying "Nobody ever got fired for buying IBM"!

I'll check that out! I've always been taught how to do things on MS in school so sticking with it just made everything that much easier.

Micro$oft Word is good to no-one, go for a free program like OpenOffice!

I'm an awful speller, but Microsoft Word is very good to me. (;

Sadly, I have had quite a few teachers with horrid spelling.

Well, I write a "morning message" every day on a chart.  I'll admit that I sometimes forget what day it is, and write the wrong date, or the wrong routine. They love finding my "intentional" mistakes.  I even white the mistakes out, I can't stand the thought of someone walking in and seeing stupid shit.

The previous post was a  newsletter that parents see.   Yikes.  I really don't like to look like an idiot.

Lily: very funny but also depressing!

I remember my teachers would, if caught misspelling a word, hurriedly explain that they were just doing this to check if we were paying attention.

There are first grade teachers where I teach.  We take turns preparing homework for the week so each of us does it only once a month.  Yesterday, my friend says "did you see the sentence homework for this week?"  with a disgusted look on her face.  Directions always include things to remember about sentences ... 1. Each sentence must begin with a capitol letter.

Seriously?  I can't put my name on this.
