I'm a Manly Veg*n

It kills me every time someone thinks of me as less "manly" because I believe animals don't deserve to be treated cruelly. You don't have to cook steak to be a man!

Just joined. I'm vegan, and I used to work in farm animal rescue and rehab, and it doesn't get more macho than then getting into a stall with 2000 pound animal who is scared enough to kill you, in order to treat wounds and try to build trust...but when I used to talk about my job I was treated as if I spent my days skipping through fields of flowers with a basket of kittens.

I do a lot of adventure/mud runs too, like Spartan Sprint, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash etc. and though I am in my 40's I hold m own quite well with the "kids"...so I think that's alright as far as "manly" goes...right? ;)

Anyway, just stumbled upon this group while shamelessly trying to find appropriate places to plug my kickstarter project...but you can read about that on my profile if you are curious. I am just happy to find a GUY forum for a change...you know what I mean?

"I am vegan not gay." Myq Kaplan talks about some manly issues.

I could use circular reasoning to answer that either way. Long story short, it's irrelevant!

Who's the more foolish, the fool who asks the question or the fool who answers it?!

THANK YOU Rich for spreading some knowledge around. It was a foolish question anyway though. :/

No, nothing like that. I did spend some time in the French Quarter of New Orleans, though, and on Bourbon street you see all that every night and more. =P It's the 'more' you wouldn't want to ask about. Still womanly and at a women's college. It's been a few weeks since I've seen anything manly haha.

Best not to ask then Mags (brothels, strip clubs, adult reviews spring to mind - hey you are 'Manly' after all!)?!
