Don't forget to stock up on your Fairtrade Fortnight goodies at the Co-op :-)

I've updated the product lists to show the latest vegan one, which now shows their custard doughnuts as suitable :-)

Hmmm, if I was being cynical I would say it looks like Fairy (ie. Procter & Gamble) saw the chance to steal some sales, whilst the Co-op's BUAV labelled product was unavailable!

According to this article , the own brand washing up liquid should be back in stock on 3 October. I will check it out tomorrow. Shame I didn't buy the Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy ( Can't the name be longer?) when I had run out of my Co-op vegan washing up liquid, because the Fairy ones were on offer at the time, so worked out cheaper. They both were without BUAV approved label, so I was a good girl and chose the cheaper one of course. Though the Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy ones were so appealing!

Okay, Co-op's supplier pulled out of the UK market suddenly and it's taken them a while to find a new manufacturer that meets their criteria. The 'Easy Peasy' brand that they're currently selling, in the meantime, is NOT tested on animals.

It looks like the Co-op have stopped selling their own brand, BUAV approved, vegan washing up liquid. I'm trying to confirm (I waited for ages in the queue on their careline, before giving up!), and have emailed them, but maybe someone knows the answer already?

Ralph replied "I noticed this a couple of years ago and haven't looked or bought any Co-Op orange juice since!". I believe the only not-from-concentrate Co-op juice that isn't currently vegan is their apple juice.

Here is Ralph's comment and I've asked him to clarify it.

Are you talking about Co-op 100% Pure Sqeezed Orange Juice? I see they're still labeled vegan. Does it mean they can now guarantee no shellac used on the fruit?

Tyrrells crisps (150g bags) are currently 2 for £2 at The Co-op (though I bought in bulk at 96p each from Suma Wholesale - see link for vegan ones, i.e. no lactose, and message me for a 'guest' password to see prices). They even do a 'Naked' variety, without salt.
