The opening day of the Vegan Pledge went really well on Sunday 12 May. 68 pledgers attended in person and many more are taking the pledge remotely.

We're expecting another great turnout at the end-of-pledge workshops in June. Very happy to be part of this, and hugely grateful to all the other volunteers and supporters whose involvement makes it possible :)

The Pledge Blog is up and running on the Vegan Campaigns website too, full of tips and info to support new vegans during their pledge month and beyond.

It was brilliant to see so many pledgers (60+) at Sunday's Vegan Pledge event.

Congratulations to all the volunteers, including the vegan buddies, and everyone at London Vegan Campaigns for a great event. Plus a big thank you to the funders, sponsors and supporters too.

Pomodoro E Basilico, London's monthly vegan and Italian supper club in Queens Park, will be celebrating Vegan Pizza Day (Saturday 29th June) with six types of handmade pizza... see the pizza lover's group for full details.

Yes Lesley, I did mention Dori's The Rabbit Hole hair parlour to her, but the local salon who were dying her hair stepped in to help out, and a family friend assisted with makeup (using her vegan products).

The reception was held at vegetarian RAM's banqueting suite (behind their Indian sweet centre, and next door to their restaurant, in Kenton), who provided a tasty vegetarian and vegan buffet.

Harrow's Only Eggless (the UK's only Vegetarian Society approved, and Vegan Society registered, cake shop), which I'd recommended, made a lovely vegan wedding cake.

URGENT A vegan lady friend of mine is having some wedding photos taken, and attending a reception, tomorrow (Saturday), and she's desperate for a vegan-friendly hair (and make-up, if possible) stylist to help her (she hasn't gotten anywhere with local salons, as they don't have suitable products, and they won't use hers).

If you know of anyone that might be able to visit her, near Harrow, on such short notice, please do call me on 075 9792 6063 and I'll put you/them in touch.
