London Friday Evening Science Lectures

In contrast to the lectures in the autumn and spring terms, half of the seats in the first lecture of this term were empty so no problem getting in, despite the fact that astronomy lectures are usually very popular. Sixth formers are busy with exams in the summer term so few attend these lectures at this time of year.

Summer term programme and other details on: www.ucl.ac.uk/science_centre and www.ucl.ac.uk/phys/department/science_centre

Came across a site that provides free science books. The following is the URL if anyone is interested it checking it out!

Science Lovers who live in London, or have access to London, may be interested in this event;

Extract from full downloadable programme;

This year includes Festival favourites such as friendly robots, futuristic spray-on fabric and the ever-popular bubble-breathing dragon. The programme is also packed with new topics and activities, including the Science Comedy Collider on the Friday evening, and the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes by visiting some of our research facilities on the Saturday.

A very intersting site. At least I know for what the shells are:-)  And I discovered some other things I hadn't heard of. It gives evidences of aliens' presence in ancient times. It gives good examples for antigravity phenomenon. An important fact is also that antigravity in not only a weak force to be hardly observed but it could be about 90-100% of gravity under the flying saucers.

Cool, I remember reading about scientists (even, perhaps, Nazi ones!) studying salmon, and how they are able to scale waterfalls, etc. when spawning. Some kind of natural form of 'anti-gravity', as I recall...

This 'Gravity and Antigravity' article mentions trout and salmon, I don't have the time to read it all though.

I watched a TV movie a couple of days ago called Ice Twisters which was about weather control, they had a facility called HART ;-)

They mentioned the fact that the Chinese had been controlling the weather for years, which reminded me of the weather controlling they did during the Beijing Olympics, that was mistakenly revealed (someone thanked the guys doing it for ensuring they had fine weather, as I recall).

I just watched this film on geoengineering. I had never heard of it before. It is an attempt to control the weather by emitting "chemtrails" or chemical trails from planes laced with heavy metals to attempt to deflect sunlight to reduce global warming. It is never good to mess with the earth. Now people and plants are being poisoned with extremely high levels of aluminum and barium. Please watch, be informed, and share. This will directly affect organic food production and force people into buying aluminum resistant GMO seed!
