Anti-Animal Slavery: Vegan Abolitionists

Jump in! We need to educate, and to be educated about abolitionist veganism and what it means for non-human animals. It means everything!

Abolitionism is nearly inseparable to the abolitionist human-slavery movement of the 20th and 19th centuries; now animal-slavery is prevalent, and must go.

The world is already aware of racism, sexism, homophobia, hetereosexism, etc, and abolitionists definitely reject them; now, we have to work on raising awareness of another type: speciesism.

Veganism is the least we owe to other animals, and is a matter of creating a more just and peaceful world. Please go to:

...and have a quick read of the "Got Faith (In Animal Welfare)?" Clicking on the first two links entitled "animal welfare reform" and "single-issue campaigns" is a great introduction to what works and what does not to liberate other animals!

It's sad to say that, whilst we still have human slavery in the world, I'm guessing that we'll continue to have animal slavery... though perhaps the two are connected, so if we ban animal slavery there's the hope we might see an end to human slavery too.

Hey all!
What does everybody think of as abolitionism as a concept to end non-human animal slavery...? I have tried to spark discussion, but it seems a little quiet in the room. Our animal brothers and sisters are counting on us!

Cheers,
Shannon

Hey boys and girls :o) I am glad we have a place to discuss animal slavery, and what it means to us to life the oppression from other species currently under our demise.

This is an online abolitionist magazine that I and other abolitionists write for; if you are interested in reading more, check it out! I am on page 6 with "Protein: A Cultural Zeus". Perhaps you could get involved in the next issue...?
