Good to hear Richard... but does it smell of air freshener?! But seriously, I hope he's genuinely beaten the cravings.

Sorry Richard.... I forgot to THANK you.. I think he's trying to stop... his room doesn't smell anymore...

Rich, I guess, from a pubescent 16 year old's perspective, the best thing you can do is to point out the unattractiveness of smoking, and the damage it does to your complexion and your sexual health.

There was an NHS campaign that would've helped, back in 2005, but it seems to have been all but erased from existence, as all the links I've found are dead. Here's the NHS's current smokefree website.

Hi Y'ALL

so... how do I stop my 16yr-old son from smoking ???? :-)

I think he's only playing at it at the mo.

Lesley, no one said anything about deleting this group... I just said we need to remove unnecessary duplicates, and to rename 'vegetarian and/or vegan' groups as 'veg*n', where appropriate, to be inclusive.

Clearly there are instances where groups are aimed solely at vegetarians or vegans, but often groups are applicable to both, hence veg*n is more appropriate and less wordy than saying 'xyz vegetarian and vegan group'.

If a group doesn't have an image (only 3 green veg*ns, as above), it's quite likely a sign that the creator isn't too fussed. Also, by looking at their profiles, it's fairly easy to see if they are active on Volentia or not. Hence the move to appoint 'enthusiastic' admins to help run the group, if necessary.

I don't see we need a heated debate on this. Not all vegans are out to force vegetarians to 'upgrade', though clearly it is a logical 'next step' on their journey, for those that wish to help reduce their impact on animal suffering and harm to our planet...

If its prohibit u will have group with vegetarians name bcz its not inclusive then why its ok to have group with vegans name? Vegans better have same rule for EVERY body i think.

"Live and let live here please!"

Only it will apply for vegans?

This group could do with an image... rather than 3 green non-smokers!
