Directory (NOT medical advice!)

"At a pH slightly above 7.4 cancer cells become dormant and at pH 8.5 cancer cells will die while healthy cells will live. This has given rise to a variety of treatments based on increasing the alkalinity of the tissues such as vegetarian diet, raw foods, the drinking of fresh fruit and vegetable juices, and dietary supplementation with alkaline minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, cesium and rubidium. But nothing can compare to the relatively instant alkalinizing power of sodium bicarbonate for safe and effective treatment of cancer."

"Sodium bicarbonate is safe, extremely inexpensive & unstoppably effective when it comes to cancer tissues. It’s an irresistible chemical, cyanide to cancer cells for it hits the cancer cells with a shock wave of alkalinity, which allows much more oxygen into the cancer cells than they can tolerate. Cancer cells cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen. Sodium bicarbonate is, for all intent and purposes, an instant killer of tumors. Full treatment takes only days.

Here are a couple of protocols (ie. instructions) for using bicarb - Protocol 1 and Protocol 2.

Interestingly, although he started out by adopting a raw vegan diet, a naturopath later put him on a paleo diet, which included some meat.

If you've read on Farcebook, and elsewhere, the erroneous suggestion that ripe bananas fight cancer, then please do read and re-post this debunking article.

Don't forget that cancer loves sugar, a carbohydrate that increases as a banana ripens.

No matter how dark the tunnel, hope is that light you see shinning through!

Cheers Mark, I think I've only attended the Wakefield show once, and visited a friend in Barnsley, both years back, so don't brew the tea just yet!

I've listed you under Health and Nutrition, let me know if you'd like that changed.

feel free to link to my profile (I expect you know how to do that, I'm a bit techno challenged). Yes that Wakefield hotel is quite near me, you can call in if you like. Always good green tea on the go, but herbal too. Email me first as I can have patients booked in. Alternatively drop into the tai chi class in Wakefield if its a Tuesday or Thursday evening. mark@thornhillchinamed.co.uk

There's been a strong move to calling it 'complementary medicine' over the years which often means "keep taking the drugs". I prefer 'alternative' but it does have to be a whole lifstyle thing, hence vegan diet, Tai Chi or similar, growing your own veg. as well as the acupuncture and herbal medicines.

Sad when you have to watch people suffer although I'm sure you helped to lessen it.

Thanks Mark, luckily mum was at home when she passed away, with my dad, sister, Napak (my girlfriend) and I by her side.

I'm afraid that, having had her body destroyed by chemotherapy, medication and 'experimental' drugs (Why do the side effects always appear worse than the condition?!), she just didn't have the strength left to try 'alternative' (What a misnomer, most natural cures were around long before pharmaceuticals, they should be considered as 'conventional' treatment) medicine.

I'll have to pop by next time I'm "Up North" (Perhaps for the Wakefield RISC OS show), for a cup of herbal tea ;-) I've added your clinic to the Business Index (Can I link to your profile too?).

so sorry to hear that Richard; as you say it is a battle against conventional treatment and the society we live in. I'm sure you made it easier for her than it might have been. Best wishes
