I didn't see a group for veggies who practice Yoga, so here we go! I've been practicing intermittently for 7 years, but more consistently for the last 2 years. I love vinyasa flow and power yoga!

I have been doing yoga for years since freshman in highschool and then throughout both my boys. I do it for the peaceful feeling I get not so much the religion but am soooo in love with it. I will be adding it into my running routine soon. I did stop for about four months since I have been running everyday lately I have had pain in my knees so will be taking a day off and need to stretch more later during the day after a run. Wow sorry for the long winded comment just wanted to say I looooove Yoga still have never done a headstand in about 10 years but I will eventually get back to that hahahah!

I started recording and practicing Intimate Yoga. I also do Tae Kwon do, which relies heavily on flexibility, so I was surprised to be sore the day after doing an hour program! : ]

I think the difference is that Tae Kwon do stretches you in the most useful, most used ways, and yoga stretches EVERYTHING, including the parts muscles you rarely use.

I am born veggie because of being a Hindu. Also have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and now teach. I am agree with John comments but Yoga is not complete until person is not veggie. It's primary requirement for Yama and Niyama.

I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years, and it goes hand in hand with my vegetarianism. My yoga teacher never told anyone to stop eating meat, he said you would naturally lose any desire for it once your yoga practice was well-established. It was certainly true for me.
