1 May 2011, I finally kicked the cheese habit.
For one full year, I:
Openly defied conventional wisdom every day

Last week, I had lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. They had a few items on the menu that looked promising, so I called the restaurant ahead of time to ensure that the dish was vegan or could be made vegan with some modification.
When I called, I asked specifically for the person most knowledgeable about allergen info. Not only did he give me answers, he even made some suggestions. The spaghetti squash marinara was awesome.

I have to ask this question based on the beliefs toward sexuality in Christianity. It's a topic that's in my face every day, living here in the Buckle of the Bible Belt.

Today, a co-worker walks up to me and says, "Educate me. I want to become vegetarian."
He told me about how he saw a truck full of pigs while driving, and he saw how they were being treated first-hand. I told him it's a matter of baby steps. It will be like a pendulum. At some point, he'll crave meat, give in, then be repulsed.
