Sounds more boring than I hope it could be, and the name is likely to change. Basically I want to organize a vegan festival, albeit that there will probably not be hundreds of bands playing, but also just a simple party, bbq, and dancing, perhaps raving, combined with conferenses and discussions on the topic of veganism.

It would definitely be heaven to live in a vegan community, but I'm not sure it would help other people know we exist and think about becoming vegans as well, although a vegan nation would be something quite different. Well, it is obviously the meat and dairy lobbies which are behind this. They are very powerful in France, and must have noticed that there has been quite a lot of talking about vegetarianism in the media lately... probably want to protect their assets...

- Well, it's not really a ban, I mean, it's not forbidden to be a vegetarian, it's "only" in schools and places like that, hospitals, prisons, workplace restaurants, but anyway, it was already very difficult to obtain vegetarian meals (let alone vegan ones, totally unthinkable) in these places, the only difference is that now it is sort of "officialized". No need to wonder about who is behind that...
