Yes, and they'll soon have some cooking videos up by vegan chef Tony Bishop Weston, who I first met back in 2009.

Thanks kindly for the links, I shall be sure to give 'em a gander when I can :) Havenheed is a very interesting prospect indeed... I do plan to be moving away from Bristol on a more permanent basis after Christmas, but it will always be a "home" to me... Pray tell, do you go up Gloucester Road much? Can you believe I only properly explored it but earlier this year?! Now I do much all of my shopping there! Lots of great local businesses, and much anything a Brizzol Vegan could need n.n

Hello matey! No worries at all ;) Apologies for late reply.

Naw, I had never really been very active on the Brizzol vegan scene. I heard that they have a well-developed one though... Meh, I don't really have an excuse ;u.u Just never bothered to look into it much *facepalm* How about you? Do you know many Bristol Veg*ns, or joined any groups within the area? :)

Nice article on Shea Butter! Most of the packaged stuff irritates my sensitive skin, exacerbating a dermatitis reaction and I think this may be true for many people; yet, doctors keep writing those prescriptions. Dermatitis is usually set off by a toxin, be it from a personal care item, medicine or even smoking. I use mainly virgin coconut oil and truly organic, simple, pure products now and my skin and hair have never been better. I am someone who has had such a severe dermatitis attack that I was in the hospital for a week on antibiotics when I was 14. The only problem I have these days is dry skin on my face when I've been out in harsh weather. Also, a vegan diet helps with dermatitis:)

Thanks, we'll take a look.

Plastic casks/kegs are fairly hot topic in the brewing industry. Early attempts were disappointing and have turned a lot of brewers off - casks were relatively fragile, inconsistently sized and regularly leaked. The key problem is the treatment that a cask receives at the hands of distributors/publicans, who have become used to throwing full stainless steel containers around. More recent designs appear to have ironed out some of these snags, but many brewers remain 'once-bitten' and publicans are often more sceptical. In some cases, they refuse to take plastic casks. We have a small number of recycled stainless casks that we're starting out with.

We are keen to branch-out into providing 4-pint containers/bottles, a'la 'growlers' as provided in US bars and by US breweries. Essentially akin to similar containers used by cider producers over here, for takeaway amounts. In the US they are glass, but here cider containers appear to more usually be plastic. So that might be something that we go for. Let's see!
